KLOTHO

Join the sheets.

An A4 or US Letter pattern comes in several sheets. They join like a map, in rows and columns, and the diamonds on the edges tell you when two sheets are in the right place.

You will need

  • Paper scissors, so your fabric scissors stay sharp
  • Clear tape
  • A clear floor or a big table

Lay out and trim

  1. Lay all the sheets on the floor in order: A1, B1, C1 on the first row, then A2, B2, C2, and so on.
  2. With the paper scissors, trim the margin off each sheet, along the pale frame. Leave the right margin on: the next sheet goes over it.

Match and tape

  1. Lay the next sheet over that margin until the triangles make a whole diamond.
  2. Check that the diamonds close perfectly and the lines run straight, and tape.
  3. Tape one row at a time.

If a line breaks where two sheets meet, lift the top sheet and lay it again. Tape only when the line runs straight across.

How you know it is right

Every diamond is whole and the lines run straight from sheet to sheet.

The A0 file is one sheet printed at a copy shop, so there is nothing to tape.
